Religious life of the school
Faith education forms an integral part of our school curriculum. St Monica’s School has its own school-based Religious Education Program which was developed by the teachers at this school following guidelines approved by the Bishop and Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office.
Coordination of the programs is the specific responsibility of the Assistant Principal: Religious Education.
School Mass, liturgies and prayer
Each class has an opportunity to prepare a whole school liturgy throughout the year.
Classes are also invited to conduct their own class Prayer Assemblies as part of their Religious Education Program.
In addition to this there is a School Community Mass held once per year on a weekend, with the children conducting the majority of the ministries.
Sacramental program
The sacramental program runs in a two year cycle. In semester 2 of Year A, students may choose to make the sacrament of of Reconcilliation. The following year, those same students go on to make the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
